Neighbors asking neighbors about who to turn to for help is a common practice everywhere. It’s no different at Wintergreen, except perhaps that it has long been more organized in our community. HSW’s volunteers are making it more so.

Also, by emailing helpdesk@HereToStayWTG.org members have special access to information that Here to Stay in Wintergreen maintains on providers such as care managers who can coordinate medical appointments and develop care plans, in-home care services, contractors that make modifications to enhance mobility and accessibility, and professionals who offer help in organizing a home for special situations. See our online resource directory here.

The volunteers may assist members in finding professional help when more than a friendly neighbor is needed with a household task.

On everyday home repairs and fixes, HSW’s “tech and home help” volunteers may be unable to make specific service provider recommendations. But whenever it’s about staying in Wintergreen, HSW members are not alone. Whatever the subject, HSW will tackle it with them.
