Requests from our members are not responded to 24/7 except in cases of an emergency or special cases when Here to Stay in Wintergreen volunteers will try to respond on short notice. Otherwise, we will only post requests from members to our volunteers between 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.

For example, if your service request comes in at 6 pm Friday night, it will not be posted until Monday at 9 am. Soif a member asks late on Friday for a ride at 10 am on the following Monday… that will likely be too late. These situations have been rare, however. This is mostly a friendly request to members to plan ahead as much as is practical. Our volunteers are especially effective when a member lets us know one to two weeks ahead of a need for a service.
