The Life Plan Notebook provides a guide to assembling all the details and documents a loved one would need in order to follow your wishes should you be unable to provide the information yourself.
The Senior Help Desk is offering an updated presentation on the Life Plan Notebook on Thursday, February 5 at 1 p.m. We welcome newcomers and anyone who is already familiar but might need a “reboot”. The purpose of the notebook is to provide essential information to anyone who might have to represent you if and when you cannot represent yourself. The volunteers of the Senior Help Desk have backgrounds and expertise to help you navigate the notebook.
During the meeting there will be a quick overview of the contents and a chance to ask for clarification if needed. The contents consist of forms covering personal, medical, legal and financial information. There is also information on in-home care and downsizing. As with many projects, we have added a few new things to the notebook such as the Pet Power of Attorney.
At this presentation, Judy Pfeffer and Mark Stapleton will be guests of the Senior Help Desk at this session to answer questions and concerns pertaining to the Veteran Association (VA). Both Judy and Mark use VA services extensively and have experience navigating the VA system. A worthwhile topic for any VA eligible member or volunteer needing to learn more about the VA and its benefits.
